I thought I had replied but I can't see my own post so apologies if it appears somewhere else.
I am from North Wales originally and have had horses and ponies for about 75% of my life. The first was bought in 1973 at Menai Bridge horse sale. They used to halterbreak ponies off the mountain, back them and stick a kid on and sell them as broken. I soon got bucked off when I got home - ignorance was bliss.
I have lived all over the place, six years in Amsterdam resulted in my standing joke - I came back with an English TB flat racehorse instead of a Dutch WB. That was 14 years ago and I still have Charlie. He is barefoot - long story, but he just couldn't take shoes anymore, this led to me trimming him and I have just been accepted to do a hoof trimming course to become qualified.
I recently bought Blue an ex jump racer from a dealer, he has been passed around a lot,and has bad feet, sore back and fell over in the wet yesterday which I am a bit upset about today.
I also have 2 cats,Bonnie and Clyde who are 16,Charlie is 21 and Blue 12.
I work full time and life is quite busy and will get worse when I start my trimming course
That's about it!
